Samsung hopes to drop appeal to get tablet computer back on market

Hoping to return one of its tablet computers to sales racks in the United States quickly, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. asked a federal appeals court to forget the appeal it filed and send the case back to a San Jose trial judge.

Hoping to return one of its tablet computers to sales racks in the United States quickly, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. asked a federal appeals court to forget the appeal it filed and send the case back to a San Jose trial judge.


The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit responded Friday to Samsung's request and asked Apple to file a response by noon on Tuesday.
