WLALA hosts awards and installation dinner
The Women Lawyers of Los Angeles hosted its annual awards and installation dinner on Sept. 13 at the Los Angeles Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Board member Ruth Kahn of Steptoe & Johnson LLP was sworn in as the organization’s president. WLALA also honored ADR Services Inc. neutral and retired Los Angeles County Superior Court judge Patricia L. Collins with the Ernestine Stahlhut Award for being a positive role model, an inspiration and a mentor. The group awarded Raytheon Company the Myra Bardwell Award for its commitment to diversity, and Mary-Christine Sungaila, an appellate partner at Snell & Wilmer LLP, was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for her public service through pro bono work, community service and bar association activities. - Connie Lopez
