SAN FRANCISCO - John E. Munter, a mainstay judge in San Francisco County Superior Court's complex litigation department, announced his retirement Monday.
Munter, who has sat in one of San Francisco's two complex courtrooms for the past eight years, said it's "time to get re-potted" after more than two decades on the bench. He was appointed by Gov. Pete Wilson in 1994.
