Acadia Pharmaceuticals Inc. has planned an initial public offering worth $70 million. Based in San Diego, Acadia develops drugs by identifying gene products. It collaborates with Irvine eye care company Allergan Inc. to develop drugs for glaucoma and chronic pain. The company also has treatments for Alzheimer's disease and schizophrenia in preclinical development.
