Acacia Research Corp. has obtained $19 million in private equity financing. Pasadena's Acacia Research develops and operates life science and enabling technology companies. The company will use a portion of the offering's proceeds to maintain majority ownership of its subsidiary CombiMatrix Corp., a bio-chip technology company which recently registered to go public.
