Judge Balances Scales of Justice With Care, Control
LOS ANGELES - A single mother sat at the plaintiff's table, hunched over a stack of handwritten legal documents. The woman, who lives in a transient motel in Anaheim, asked Orange County Superior Court Judge Dennis S. Choate to issue a restraining order against her adopted brother and another woman, claiming they harass her by sending "kinetic" messages to devices implanted in her face and through her cell phone.
