Protected Species Fight Pick Up As Funds Get Right

SAN FRANCISCO - A federal judge here late last year ordered the government to move ahead with deciding whether to grant protected status to two Sierra Nevada amphibians. The ruling at first glance would appear a victory for the animals, as well as the humans supporting the species' continued survival.
