Legal License to Offend

Shafiroff, Just when I thought that the Sept. 11 attacks and the war in Afghanistan had put the nonsense of political correctness on the back burner, the California Department of Motor Vehicles has proved me wrong. The department, at the behest of an organization called Advocates for American Indian Children, has demanded that Dale Atkeson, a linebacker for 1950s' Washington Redskins football teams, return his license plates, "1REDSKN" and "RDSKN2."
