Lawmakers Consider Cloning Rules

SACRAMENTO - A report presented Monday by the 12-member California Advisory Committee on Human Cloning recommends the state extend its ban on reproductive cloning but permit so-called therapeutic cloning. The Senate Select Committee on Genetics, Genetic Technologies and Public Policy will solicit testimony on the report at a hearing today.
