Campaign Violations Put Candidates on Road to Conflict

MARTINEZ - The race for district attorney in Contra Costa County has revealed a hidden bug in the local campaign finance law. A county ordinance says candidates can accept no more than $25,000 from political action committees. Candidates Mike Menesini and Bob Kochly both have violated that limit - Menesini by $16,000 and Kochly by $800.
