Employee May Be Forced to Choose Between Love, Job
Focus Column - By Jeffrey Winikow - England has been celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee, honoring her past 50 years on the throne. The queen's ascension, however, was made possible only because her uncle, Edward VIII, was forced to choose between the crown and the woman he loved: Wallis Simpson, an American divorcée. Choosing love, Edward abdicated his right to England's throne, which passed to Elizabeth's father, George VI. The rest is history.
