Bill Allows More Sex Abuse Suits

SACRAMENTO - A bill that would extend the statute of limitations for victims of child sexual abuse to sue their abusers, particularly priests, has cleared a key legislative committee, and both trial and defense attorneys said they expect a slew of suits if it becomes law.
