State Courts Shut for Chavez's Day

LOS ANGELES - For the first time since Gov. Gray Davis declared Cesar Chavez Day a state holiday two years ago, the state courts are honoring the labor leader by closing their doors. Yet, ironically, not all of the courts' employees have the day off to celebrate.
