Reaping a Career Well-Tended

SACRAMENTO - Judge Lloyd George Connelly Jr. is a Sacramento hometown-boy-made-good. Born on New Year's eve in 1945, Connelly grew up poor in north Sacramento's Del Paso neighborhood. Today, he's celebrating a decade on the Sacramento County Superior Court bench after stints in the California Assembly, Sacramento's City Council, his own law firm, a public interest law firm, stateside Army service during the Vietnam War and farm fields all over the state.
