ACLU Fighting Mandatory Pledge

SACRAMENTO - Two bills before the state Legislature are giving civil libertarians the heebie-jeebies. One would require all school children in California to recite the Pledge of Allegiance daily and know the words of the Star Spangled Banner by the end of third grade.
