VALUECLICK DECIDES TO BE FREE FOR $130 MILLION

ValueClick Inc. and Be Free Inc. will merge in a deal announced March 11. The deal is worth about $130 million. Westlake Village's ValueClick is an Internet advertising company that runs a cost-per-click program, which charges the advertiser only when a consumer clicks on its advertisement. ValueClick's customers include American Express Co., Sara Lee Corp., eBay Inc. and Citigroup Inc.
