Judicial Council Ponders State Bar Amendment

SONOMA - California Chief Justice Ronald M. George and officials of the Judicial Council are considering proposing an amendment to the state constitution declaring that the state Supreme Court has the ultimate authority over attorney discipline and admissions and that the State Bar is the administrative arm of the court in those areas.
