GENESIS' $13.6 MILLION BID WINS ASSETS OF VM

Genesis Microchip Inc. will acquire all the assets of VM Labs Inc., including patents, trademarks and other intellectual property. Genesis purchased these rights out of bankruptcy after VM Labs filed for Chapter 11 in December. The deal, announced March 4, is worth $13.6 million.
