I have been a prosecutor since 1974, and I prosecuted the Richard Allen Davis trial for the kidnap-murder of Polly Klaas. I had planned a trip to Idaho with my wife to visit friends after the trial, but the proceedings dragged on, and I realized that the jury was going to deliberate through the time set aside for the trip.
