Hopefuls for S.D. Bench Face Off

SAN DIEGO - Voters in the March 5 primary election will select judges in four races, with only one sitting judge being challenged. The 10 candidates for the $133,052-per-year posts come from a variety of legal backgrounds: private lawyers, Superior Court commissioners, a deputy alternate public defender, a prosecutor and even a retired Superior Court judge trying to make a comeback. The candidates range in age from 38 to 78.
