'No-Nonsense' Jurist Served in Two Wars

SAN BERNARDINO - Retired 4th District Court of Appeal Justice Robert E. Rickles, known by friends and colleagues as a "no-nonsense" jurist who commanded respect and placed great importance on making sure that parties understood the legal process, died on Nov. 6 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 77.
