Jury Will Hear Suit Brought Over Ejection from S.F. Taxi

SAN FRANCISCO - Cabbies beware: San Francisco's state Court of Appeal has just endorsed tort damages for premature ejection of passengers. The 1st District Court of Appeal ruled unanimously Thursday that a cane-carrying diabetic who broke her hip while struggling up a steep sidewalk can sue Luxor Cab Company because her driver ordered her out of the taxi two blocks from her destination.
