IOLTA Accounts Not 'Takings,' Circuit Says
SAN FRANCISCO - A federal appeals court on Wednesday by a 7-4 vote upheld the use of interest from client trust accounts for legal services for the poor, rejecting claims that it amounts to unconstitutional "taking" of clients' money without compensation.
