Jury Reform

Kevin Duffis of Santa Ana's Cotkin, Collins & Ginsburg hosted a discussion group including plaintiffs' attorney Paul Kiesel, trial consultant Julie Campanini, retired appellate justice and full-time neutral John Zebrowski and in-house counsel Charles Hewitt addressing jury reform issues. Topics included the use of mini-opening statements prior to voir dire, allowing jurors to ask questions during trial, allowing jurors to discuss evidence among themselves prior to the conclusion of the trial and increased judicial involvement in the deliberation process.
