Moving On . . . Fast

Edward Y. Kakita hasn't had much time for retirement. On May 8, he celebrated his 60th birthday and retired from the Los Angeles Superior Court. The following day, Kakita was back on the bench, presiding at long-cause civil cases on assignment to the Superior Court. Not long after that, he began mediating cases through West Los Angeles' Alternative Resolution Centers.
