Baseball Legend, North Bay DAs Settle Diet Claims

Former pro baseball MVP Steve Garvey and other marketers of questionable diet supplements, which among other claims professed to "prevent your body from absorbing the fat you eat," have agreed to pay nearly $700,000 in a deceptive advertising case brought by prosecutors in Sonoma and Napa counties and the state Attorney General's Office.
