N.W.A.'s former manager sues over portrayal in film

Gerald E. Heller, co-founder of Comptown Records Inc., sued NBCUniversal and more than a hundred others for using his name and likeness in the film "Straight Outta Compton" without permission or compensation.

Music manager Gerald E. Heller filed suit against NBCUniversal Inc., Xenon Pictures Inc., former N.W.A. rap group members Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, the estate of Eazy-E, and more than a hundred additional defendants for his unflattering portrayal in the recently released film "Straight Outta Compton."
