Lawsuit alleges insider dealmaking, racial hostility at Starz TV network

State court complaint contains litany of retaliation charges and alleges culture of race discrimination pervades cable TV industry.

Pay TV network Starz LLC fired its lone black executive after he blew the whistle on insider manipulation of the company's carriage contract with Comcast Corp., according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Keno V. Thomas vs. Liberty Media Corp., BC599436 (L.A. Super. Ct., filed Oct. 29).
