Non-earth shattering Sony settlement best plaintiff lawyers could do, experts say

The difficulty in defining a class or proving actual harm occurred in data hack made it a tricky case in spite of the early hype.

It was less than one year ago that the Guardians of Peace,who the FBI linked to Kim Jong-Un's North Korean government, hacked Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. and posted to the web untold amounts of information, from catty emails regarding Angelina Jolie by since-departed executive Amy Pascal to the Social Security numbers, medical records and other personal data of current and former employees.
