Schear plowed some new ground this year in a case involving a whistleblower physician.


In a lawsuit filed against Sutter Central Valley Hospitals in 2011, Schear represented Mark Fahlen, a doctor who alleged substandard nursing care that he said endangered patients at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. Fahlen. v. Sutter Central Valley Hospitals, 58 Cal.App.4th 655 (2014).


The facility is owned and operated by Sutter Health.
