Ben W. Pesta II, a longtime Los Angeles criminal defense attorney, died Thursday of pancreatic cancer. He was 65.
With a keen wit and a theatrical side, Pesta - who spent much of his legal career representing clients in high-profile felony cases - could have a certain flair in court, said Monique Raphel High, Pesta's wife of more than 25 years.
