The U.S. Court for the Central District swore in a new magistrate judge Tuesday.
Kenly Kiya Kato, a sole practitioner in Riverside County, will sit in the court's Eastern Division replacing U.S. Magistrate Judge Oswald Parada, who stepped down to return to private practice.
