Employee rights leaders honored at Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center luncheon
The Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center honored Jose Padilla, executive director of California Rural Legal Assistance, at its 97th anniversary luncheon for his decades of work at the San Francisco-based nonprofit that serves low-income residents in rural areas. Former state Supreme Court Justice Cruz Reynoso served as master of ceremonies at the event, and Tom Saenz, president of the Mexican American Legal Defense Fund, was the keynote speaker.
