The free daily tabloid San Francisco Examiner has accused the San Francisco Chronicle of undervaluing its advertising prices in hopes of harming its competitor. The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in San Francisco County Superior Court, alleges that the Chronicle has been secretly offering advertising rates at $1,000 or less for space that could cost more than $90,000.
