California firms handle 3-D printer company sale

O'Melveny & Myers LLP is representing 3-D printer manufacturer MakerBot Industries LLC in the company's upcoming sale to Stratasys Ltd. Cooley LLP represented Stratasys. The all-stock deal is valued at $403 million

The ever-expanding world of 3-D printing got a bit smaller last week with the announcement of a merger between two of the biggest names in the business: Stratasys Ltd. and MakerBot Industries LLC. Industry observers are expecting big things from the deal as the two companies look to bridge the gap between professional and consumer-grade 3-D printing.
