When a 25-year-old Taco Bell fan got wind that the company was testing its new Doritos Locos Taco at select stores in Toledo, Ohio, the fellow drove 900 miles from New York with a friend to sample it.


That product, which has sold about 500 million since its launch last year, resulted from a rather unorthodox deal.
