Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside counties will get biggest bite of court's $60 million

Los Angeles County Superior Court is set to receive $20 million in extra funding over the next fiscal year, according to a plan by the state judicial branch released Thursday.

Los Angeles County Superior Court is set to receive $20 million in extra funding over the next fiscal year, according to a plan by the state judicial branch released Thursday.


Lawmakers and Gov. Jerry Brown struck a deal earlier this week to set aside an extra $60 million for trial courts in 2013-14. However, that amount is far less than the $261 million in spending cuts the branch will need to make to its operations.
