New class of Kmart cashiers formed

A federal judge certified a new class of Kmart cashiers in an ongoing lawsuit against the big box retailer for failing to provide seated workstations at checkout counters.

A federal judge certified a new class of Kmart cashiers in an ongoing lawsuit against the big box retailer for failing to provide seated workstations at checkout counters.


Judge William Allsup of the Northern District denied the plaintiffs' motion to certify a statewide class of cashiers, and dismissed one plaintiff from the case.
