PETCO Punished for Mistreatment

Law enforcers took a $1.75 million bite out of PETCO Animal Supplies Inc. to settle penalties and costs from a civil case alleging that California customers were overcharged and animals were neglected or mistreated in PETCO stores.

SAN DIEGO - Law enforcers took a $1.75 million bite out of PETCO Animal Supplies Inc. to settle penalties and costs from a civil case alleging that California customers were overcharged and animals were neglected or mistreated in PETCO stores.
