GOP Lawyers Are Surprise On Boxer Panel

Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer on Thursday named several Republicans to her advisory committees that vet judges and U.S. attorneys, in keeping with President Barack Obama's pledge to reach across the political aisle.

WASHINGTON - Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer on Thursday named several Republicans to her advisory committees that vet judges and U.S. attorneys, in keeping with President Barack Obama's pledge to reach across the political aisle.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein announced her committee members on Dec. 29, and they, too, included Republicans.
