Patent Rending

A jury says Microsoft copied the design of an Alcatel-Lucent computer system. A judge later adds millions in prejudgment interest.

John M. Desmarais felt his confidence rising after the summary judgment hearings in what would be the last of a multipronged patent dispute dating back to 2002.
