Miami Immigration Judge Quits Under Cloud

A Miami immigration judge who made headlines after refusing to hear an immigrant family's case has abruptly resigned, making him the third appointee of former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to leave the bench in less than two years.

A Miami immigration judge who made headlines after refusing to hear an immigrant family's case has abruptly resigned, making him the third appointee of former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to leave the bench in less than two years.

Carey R. Holliday left the bench in December, Department of Justice officials confirmed last week.
