Fleming Companies Inc. announced the acquisition of Core-Mark International Inc. The deal, valued at $390 million, was announced April 24. Lewisville, Texas-based Fleming is a wholesale food distributor that services supermarkets and other merchandisers. It provides branded and grocery-label foods to retailers. Its largest customer is Kmart Corp.
