Bill Increases Penalties for Failing to Recall Defective Cars, Parts
WASHINGTON - Reacting to the Firestone-Ford tire fiasco, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., announced Tuesday that she and Judiciary Committee colleague Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wis., plan to introduce a bill they claim will better protect consumers from companies that knowingly allow defective vehicles or vehicle parts to remain on the market.
