9th circuit tosses settlement for "worthless injunctive relief"
A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel threw out a settlement Wednesday between a debt collection service accused of unfair practices and class members who allegedly received misleading phone calls.

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel threw out a proposed settlement Wednesday between a debt collection service accused of unfair practices and class members who allegedly received misleading phone calls.
The court ruled that the settlement was inadequate because it offered nothing of value to the vast majority of the class members. Koby v. ARS National Services Inc., 2017 DJDAR 717.
