The number of Californians affected by data breaches soared 600 percent in 2013 due to widespread retail breaches, according to the attorney general's new report.
Attorney General Kamala Harris released her office's second annual California Data Breach Report this week, revealing 18.5 million individuals experienced a data breach last year, compared to only 2.5 million in 2012.
