Bingham may consider bankruptcy, managing partner says

In his first public statements on the health of Bingham McCutchen LLP, the firm's new managing partner Steven Browne spoke briefly about the possibility of bankruptcy for the Boston-based firm.

Massive partner departures and declining revenues in the past couple of years have forced Bingham McCutchen LLP to seek rescue by entertaining the idea of merging with Philadelphia-based Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. The Boston-based firm also apparently has considered bankruptcy, according to its new managing partner Steven C. Browne.
