Chapman Law Dean to Run for State A.G.

John C. Eastman said Friday he is stepping down as dean of the Chapman University School of Law to run for state attorney general, partly because he opposes some of Jerry Brown's moves as AG.

ORANGE - John C. Eastman, who announced Friday he is stepping down as dean of the Chapman University School of Law to run for state attorney general, said he is seeking the post because he opposes the current attorney general's positions on Proposition 8 and on litigation over Orange County deputy sheriffs' pensions.
