Sanctions Against Civil Rights Lawyer Reversed
SAN FRANCISCO - Civil rights lawyer Micha Star Liberty could breathe easier Thursday after a federal appellate panel nullified a trial judge's scolding. Judge Vaughn R. Walker, the chief of California's Northern District, sought to sanction Liberty and report her to the State Bar for allegedly messing up a wrongful death pleading.
