Panel Invalidates Local Rule for L.A. Asbestos Litigation

The appellate court's ruling effectively reinstates Caterpillar Inc. as a defendant in an asbestos case. The company had been dismissed by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge using the rule that the appellate court deemed invalid.
